Service Overview
MEDA-USA now has new initiatives to tackle the HIV epidemic in Moghamo; a scholarship program that is simple transparent and benefits all Moghamoans; a Women's Empowerment program that truly empowers the Moghamo woman; and plan to celebrate our proud heritage in a way that echoes our cultural values at home and abroad and restores the dignity of our chiefdoms.

MEDA-USA is also constantly looking for ways to improve the lives of Moghamoans in the USA especially new immigrants. Some of the areas of interest include a Group Life insurance plan for its members, a scholarship program for training in the health sciences filed courtesy NEW Horizons Medical Center in Atlanta, GA and a mentoring program that will benefit a lot of younger Moghamoans and increase the participation of the younger generation of Moghamoans in MEDA-USA affairs.


	The Education and Culture Committee having concluded discussions with the benefactor Ma Rose Ndamukong, has given the go ahead for this very juicy announcement to be made public on the Hon. L.M. Ndamukong Memorial Scholarships for Certificate Programs in Healthcare.

MEDA-USA group Insurance Provider

The MEDA USA Group Insurance Policy is designed ensure that sufficient resources will be available to the family of a member at his or her passing. No longer shall we continue to depend solely on contributions to honor the life of our beloved brothers and sisters. Burial funds are guaranteed at the time of death, thus minimizing the need to ask for contributions and ensuring that our love ones do not endure the humiliation of begging for assistance from the general public.

We often confuse the group Life insurance plan with the Life Insurance plans that we have through our jobs or other sources. They are different. Whereas regular life insurance policy provides long term security to your family and may only be available a couple of months after death, the MEDA USA group life insurance is guaranteed at time of death. Within 2-3 days of such a sad happening, the funds will be in your beneficiary’s bank account.

It is the responsibility of every member to enroll in this policy to ensure that in the event of death, the focus will be on celebrating your life or that of your love ones and not on organizing fund raisers. I hope every Moghamoan will complete the form below so as to ensure that we can get a quote from the Cultural Group Benefits Company.

MEDA USA Cultural Group Benefits Details

The MEDA USA Group Life Insurance Plan is in the amount of $15,000.00
All kids under 18 years of age can be insured for $7500 at $0.60 per family
The provider is Cultural Group Benefits at www.culturalbenefits.com
Projected start date for plan is July 15, 2007
All payments must be received or postmarked by June 30, 2007
Benefit is guaranteed at time of death and made available 2-3 days after death to your designated beneficiary
Payment is $45.60 semiannually or $91.20 annually which ever method is convenient to member
Payment amount was based on average age of the group
No medical checkups were done to qualify
New members can only enroll at end of this first circle which is i year from now
